Cookies
1. Summary
Advoke CV does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. The site is fully static and does not load any third-party script that would set one. Any cookie you find in your browser for this domain was set by your browser itself, by an extension you have installed, or by a network intermediary — not by Advoke CV.
2. What Advoke CV stores in your browser
Advoke CV stores data locally using two mechanisms that are not cookies:
- IndexedDB — used for drafts, in a database named
advoke-cv. - localStorage — used as a fallback for drafts and for small preferences such as your theme choice.
These are browser APIs, not HTTP cookies. They are not sent with every request and are not accessible to any server.
3. Keys stored by Advoke CV
The following localStorage keys are used by Advoke CV. All are prefixed with advoke-cv: so they can be identified and cleared safely.
advoke-cv:theme— your chosen theme (light, dark, or absent for system default).advoke-cv:settings— small UI preferences.advoke-cv:last-template— the last template you opened.advoke-cv:draft:*— fallback draft storage when IndexedDB is unavailable.advoke-cv:setting:*— additional settings written by the editor.advoke-cv:tour:editor-complete— whether you have dismissed the editor tour.advoke-cv:onboarding:editor-complete— whether starter sections have been added to a new draft.
4. How to remove this data
You have three options:
- Use the Clear Local Data button inside the editor. This requires an explicit confirmation and removes every draft and setting stored by Advoke CV.
- Delete individual drafts from the drafts panel.
- Clear browser site data for this domain through your browser settings. This removes Advoke CV data along with any other site data for the domain.
5. Third-party cookies
None. Advoke CV does not embed any third-party iframes, tracking pixels, or remote scripts. The only third-party code that ships with Advoke CV is the pdf-lib and fontkit libraries, and both are bundled locally and served from the same origin.
6. Consent
Because Advoke CV uses no tracking cookies and collects no personal data, there is no cookie consent banner. A banner would be misleading because there is nothing to consent to.
7. Changes
If Advoke CV ever introduces a feature that requires a cookie, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date will change before the feature ships.
