Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By using Advoke CV you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
Advoke CV is a static, browser-only resume builder. It provides templates, an editor, a live preview, and client-side export to PDF, plain text, and JSON. All processing happens in your browser. Advoke CV does not provide accounts, cloud storage, or synchronization.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to attack, overload, or interfere with the site or the services that host it.
- Use automated tools to scrape content at a rate that degrades service for other users.
- Redistribute the Advoke CV template set or other original assets as your own product.
- Use Advoke CV to produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, or misleading.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your credentials.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the resume content you create with Advoke CV. Because Advoke CV has no backend, it does not receive or store your content and makes no claim to it.
5. Intellectual property
Advoke CV's code, original templates, original SVG icons, original illustrations, and original written content are © Advoke CV. The bundled pdf-lib and fontkit libraries are used under their respective MIT licenses and remain the property of their respective authors. Bundled fonts are used under their original licenses and remain the property of their original authors. See the Licenses page for the complete list.
6. No warranty
Advoke CV is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Advoke CV does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. No guarantee of results
Advoke CV provides tools and templates but does not guarantee that using them will result in employment, interviews, or any specific outcome. Advoke CV does not guarantee that a resume will pass any applicant tracking system, that a page will be indexed by any search engine, or that any content will appear in any AI-generated answer.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Advoke CV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from or related to your use of the site. Because Advoke CV has no backend, its ability to recover or restore your data is limited to what your own browser has retained.
9. Local storage and data loss
Your drafts are stored in your browser and may be lost if you clear browser storage, use private browsing, or experience device failure. Advoke CV is not responsible for such loss and recommends exporting your resume as a JSON file for backup.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change when they are updated. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Advoke CV is operated. Because Advoke CV is a free, non-commercial, static site, no specific commercial jurisdiction is claimed and users should rely on the laws of their own jurisdiction for consumer protection.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through the project's public repository.
